Van Driver

Location: Guildford, Surrey

Salary/Rate: £27,000 – £29,000/annum

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a reputable business headquartered in Guilford region for an experienced van driver on a temp to perm basis.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced van driver to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a 3.5T van and assisting with the safe and efficient removal of goods, to and from residential and commercial properties.

The the van driver responsibility:

• Safe and efficient operation of a 3.5 T vehicle
• Loading and unloading of goods
• Assisting with the packing and securing of items for transport
• Following all traffic laws and regulations
• Maintaining accurate logbooks and completing required documentation
• Conducting daily vehicle inspections to ensure it is in good working order.
• Delivering items to the designated location and assisting with unloading and unpacking as necessary
• Ensuring all equipment and tools are properly maintained and stored.
• Providing excellent customer service to clients

The van driver must – have:

• Valid UK driver’s license, no more than 3 points
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience driving 3.5 T vehicles
• Ability to lift heavy items and perform manual labour.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Clean driving record with no recent major offenses
